Has COVID-19 meant any changes for helpline volunteer recruitment and training?

Due to the current pandemic, all helpline volunteer training in currently taking place remotely.

In addition, although we provide comprehensive training for this role, due to COVID-19 and our responsibility to protect the well-being of our volunteers, we are currently looking for volunteers with relevant prior experience (voluntary or paid). Examples include working/providing support for survivors of sexual/domestic violence or violence against women, working with other forms of trauma, and providing mental health support.
